East River Café Blend

Coffee consumption is synonymous with America. It was GIs that introduced us to the delights of instant coffee in the 1940s and more recently the American sitcom ‘Friends’ was responsible for kick starting the massive coffee culture we see in British society today. American brands like, Starbucks and Krispy Kreme, are well known amongst coffee drinkers who either relish or eschew these brands. Coffee in America, put simply is an integral part of society.

In-line with our ‘traditional’ stance on how we go about things, our roaster John, has created an authentic New York café blend which does not have the bitterness of chain blends. Many cafés and workplaces in America use filter machines and John has created this blend to be made using a filter, cafetière or stove-top.

The best ingredients add quality and flavour without being overpowering. An all-day easy drinker.

This coffee is a perfect part of café socialising, it’s complimentary to light foods and pastries and a delicious addition to lively conversation at meetings of friends.

We’ve used Guatemalan, Kenyan and Brazilian Coffees in this blend, in the perfect proportions to make an authentic tasting, American style cup of Joe. It works particularly well in filter, cafetière or stove-top.
