At Northern Tea Merchants, we’ve always believed, and customers often tell us, our shop and Pomegranate Café are more than just somewhere to enjoy great tea and coffee. Being part of our local community has always been important to us, and we always strive to provide a welcoming place where everyone feels comfortable and safe.
That’s why we’re proud to have been approved to become a ‘Safe Place’ as part of the Derbyshire Safe Place Scheme.
Safe Places are recognised locations across Derbyshire where anyone who feels lost, vulnerable, scared or in need of help can come in and ask for assistance. Participating venues display the official Safe Place sticker, so people know they have somewhere to turn in times of difficulty.
Whether someone needs a quiet place to wait, help contacting a family member, friend or carer, or assistance in an emergency, we’re pleased to play our part in supporting this fantastic community initiative.
If you’re visiting us on Chatsworth Road, you’ll now see the Derbyshire Safe Place sticker displayed in our window, a small sign that we’re here to help if you ever need us.
