Rosebuds

The Rose is Iran’s national flower and is one of the most popular flowers worldwide. Iran ranks seventeenth worldwide in terms of cultivation of decorative flowers. 21 of the worlds favourite flowers are produced here in vast quantities for export to the rest of the world.

Iran has an area covered by flora, which is four times larger than all of Europe put together. It is the worlds largest producer of Saffron and grows enormous amounts of wheat, barley, corn, dates, pomegranates, melons, grapes, vegetables, sugar-beet, sugarcane and pistachio nuts. Iran also produces large quantities of tea and tobacco, having produced 190,000 tonnes of tea in 2007.

Iran is the eighteenth largest country in the world, a little larger than the UK and Germany combined and with a population of just over 70 million.

The rose itself is widely thought of as being one of the most beautiful and fragrant flowers in the world. It has 150 known species and has been hybridised by gardeners to produce literally thousands of different types.

Our rosebuds are, grown on wild rosebushes, these flowers are left to grow as nature intended, then picked, dried and packaged for export. Although these rosebuds can be drunk on their own producing a light yellow, beautifully scented liquor.
